A Doctor Appointed To This Grade
- shall have full registration and a Licence to Practice with the General Medical Council
- shall have completed a minimum of 10 years’ medical work (either continuous period or in aggregate) since obtaining a primary medical qualification of which a minimum of six years should have been in a relevant specialty in the Specialty Doctor and/or closed SAS grades. Equivalent years’ experience in a relevant specialty from other medical grades including from overseas will also be accepted
- shall meet the criteria set out in the Specialist grade generic capabilities framework

Position Details
- Job Title: Community Paediatrician
- Working Hours: 20 hours per week, pay will be pro rata
- Location: St. Johns Hospital
- Employment Type: Permanent, part-time (0.5 WTE)
- Department: West Lothian Community Paediatrics Department
The post holder will join an established and experienced team of paediatricians and therapists. There is no commitment to child protection duties or working within the acute receiving unit for general paediatrics within this post.
The Community Paediatrics service is a Lothian wide service and the person appointed will be required to work at other sites.
