🏆 🎉 🏆 We're proud to announce we've won Advice firm of the year at the Money Marketing Awards 🏆 🎉 🏆

We are seeking someone with strong communication and analytical skills to join Launchpad, the newest team at Octopus Money. You’ll be part of a team responsible for launching new products and offerings spanning the breadth of financial services. As our first dedicated client-facing hire, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring the products and services we offer are right for our clients and are delivered exceptionally.

While you can expect to be exposed to a variety of client-facing work over time, in the first instance, you’ll have day-to-day responsibility for our pension splitting work with amicable, another company in Octopus Group. In this capacity, you will own pension-related work within divorce cases and act as the primary point of contact throughout the lifecycle of each case. You will produce Pension on Divorce Expert reports using our pension calculation tools, while ensuring clients feel supported, informed, and confident during what is often a complex and sensitive period.

The role is not actuarial and does not involve expert witness work.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management (Core Focus)

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients.
  • Build strong, trusted and ongoing relationships with clients.
  • Communicate potentially complex financial information in a clear, calm, and accessible way.
  • Provide reassurance and guidance to clients dealing with sensitive financial and personal circumstances.
  • Manage expectations proactively, ensuring clients are kept informed at every stage.
  • Lead client discussions and maintain a consistent, high-quality client experience from instruction through to completion.
  • Act as an introducer to other Octopus Group companies and services.
  • With support from the broader team, test and deliver new products and services to clients as the primary client contact.

Technical Pensions Work

  • Oversee and/or review pension sharing calculations and related outputs.
  • Interpret pension benefits across Defined Benefit (DB), Defined Contribution (DC), and hybrid arrangements.
  • Work with Cash Equivalent Transfer Values (CETVs) and scheme-specific benefit structures.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of all technical calculations and supporting documentation.
  • Apply pension knowledge in a practical, case-focused manner.

Case & Workflow Management

  • Manage a portfolio of client cases end-to-end.
  • Prioritise workload effectively to meet deadlines and client expectations.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of outputs.
  • Identify and resolve issues or risks early in the process.
  • Maintain clear case records and ensure high standards of documentation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
