Main Duties of the Job
This post is for a Specialist Grade within the Acute Medical Department at Ysbyty Gwynedd. The appointee will be expected to support the Consultants in the department to provide full Acute Medicine input.

Person Specification
Essential Criteria
Qualifications and Clinical Skills
- MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
- Completed at least 12 years full time postgraduate training (or equivalent gained on part time basis) or have equivalent experience and competencies
Experience
- At least 6 years’ experience in a relevant specialty
Personal Qualities
- Demonstrates good interpersonal skills with patients, relatives and members of the clinical team
- Ability to cope with pressure
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
Desirable criteria
Other higher degree (PhD, Masters) in the relevant field
Experience
- Leadership skills appropriate to the post
- Directing and teaching medical, nursing and other professions allied to medicine
