Right now, we are looking for a Specialist Homelessness Prevention Coordinator to play a pivotal role in our Single Homeless Person Service in London.
Sounds great, what will I be doing?
In this role, you will take ownership of a caseload of individuals at risk of homelessness, delivering proactive and outcome-focused interventions that prevent homelessness and support sustainable housing solutions. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will be responsible for:
- Achieving service targets
- Monitoring performance against key outcomes
- Ensuring statutory duties are met within required timescales
Using your specialist knowledge of housing and homelessness legislation, including the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017, you will:
- Carry out detailed housing assessments
- Identify barriers to housing stability
- Develop practical, co-produced Personal Housing Plans that drive measurable results
You will:
- Actively negotiate with landlords, housing providers, local authorities and partner agencies to secure accommodation
- Prevent tenancy breakdown wherever possible
The role requires:
- Strong case management and excellent organisational skills
- Managing competing priorities, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring all actions are progressed promptly
- Monitoring outcomes, tracking performance, and contributing towards contractual and service KPI delivery
You will:
- Build and maintain effective partnerships across the housing sector, welfare services and community organisations
- Identify opportunities that improve housing outcomes for clients
Success in this role will require:
- Persistence, resilience, and a solution-focused mindset
- A strong emphasis on achieving positive move-on outcomes and reducing homelessness across the service

The ideal candidate will have:
- Knowledge, experience or relevant qualifications relating to housing and homelessness legislation, including the Homelessness Reduction Act, private rented sector housing, eviction processes, welfare benefits, and tenants' rights
- An understanding of the causes of homelessness
- Experience delivering effective interventions that achieve tangible outcomes for individuals facing housing challenges
You will be comfortable working within a highly target-driven environment, managing a busy and demanding caseload while balancing multiple priorities and competing deadlines. You will be motivated by achieving results, able to monitor your own performance against service targets, and committed to delivering high-quality outcomes within required timescales.
We are looking for someone with:
- Strong influencing and negotiation skills who can build productive relationships with landlords, housing providers, local authorities, and other key stakeholders
- Commercially aware in your approach, confident presenting housing solutions, and able to overcome barriers to secure positive housing outcomes for clients
The successful candidate will be:
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and confident working independently with a high level of autonomy
- Excellent IT skills, experience maintaining accurate case records and databases, and the ability to analyse information and make informed decisions quickly
- Resilient, proactive, and outcome-focused, with a genuine passion for preventing homelessness and helping individuals access and sustain suitable accommodation
