This role helps adults with complex health and support needs access high-quality dental care, making a real difference to their health, comfort and wellbeing.

Based within our Adult Special Care Dentistry team, you will provide specialist dental care for people who may find it difficult to access routine dental services, including those with complex medical conditions, disabilities or other additional needs.

You will work closely with colleagues, carers and other health and social care professionals to deliver safe, compassionate and person-centred care. The role includes working across different clinical settings, including community clinics, hospital settings and patients’ homes, helping us meet the changing needs of the service.

What You’ll Do

  • Assess, plan and deliver specialist dental care for adults with additional or complex needs
  • Work across clinic, hospital and domiciliary settings to provide flexible patient care
  • Support colleagues through clinical leadership, advice and training
  • Contribute to service improvement, clinical governance and quality initiatives
  • Maintain accurate records and uphold high standards of patient safety

What We’re Looking For

  • Current General Dental Council specialist registration in Special Care Dentistry
  • Experience caring for adults with complex needs and working across multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
  • Ability to adapt to different clinical environments and changing service needs, including working between The Orchard Centre, Bridlington Hospital and domiciliary settings
  • A commitment to compassionate, safe and inclusive care
