Job Description
The Indirect Procurement team manages the sourcing of goods and services that support all functions at McLaren Racing that are not specifically on-car related. This includes areas such as Commercial, Business Performance, Marketing, Heritage, IT, and Facilities. The team plays a key role in ensuring strategic procurement decisions align with the new cost cap regulations introduced in Formula 1 in 2026.
Purpose of the Role
This role requires initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to work proactively under time constraints. It will be responsible for supporting supplier engagement, contract creation, review and execution, and other procurement operations that underpin the performance of McLaren Racing’s business functions.

What You'll Do
We would expect the following from successful candidates:
- Integrate quickly into the team to support procurement operations
- Take responsibility for your projects and tasks, working both independently and collaboratively while receiving guidance from Senior team members.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders as well as with our supply chain.
- Support continuous improvement of procurement processes and procedures
- Contribute to sourcing activities, supplier communications, and data analysis
- Support documentation and reporting aligned with cost cap compliance.
Qualifications
What You’ll Bring
The following attributes are required for this role:
- Degree qualified in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience.
- Previous experience in indirect procurement categories, would be a distinct advantage.
- Essential understanding of procurement, commercial and contractual principles, including the review, creation and negotiation of terms and conditions, NDAs and supplier agreements.
- An understanding and/or experience of RFx process.
- Experience in strategic sourcing, contract management, and supplier relationship management.
- Experience of ERP systems would be a distinct advantage.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple business functions.
- A proactive mindset and interest in high-performance environments
