Company Description
High performance isn't a given. It’s built on standards. Standards that have driven McLaren for over 60 years. And if you’re ready for the challenge, that standard is yours to own. Burning enthusiasm. Constant improvement. The thrill in the pursuit of better. That’s how we build a legacy. And how you build a career here. Because racing isn’t just something we do. It’s who we are. We are racers. Are you?
The Role
As Specialist, MarCom Process Improvement, you will play a key role in improving how Marketing & Commercial operates by supporting the delivery of the MarCom transformation programme and helping design, document and implement clear, effective end-to-end processes across McLaren Racing. Working closely with the Lead, MarCom Process Improvement, you will analyse current ways of working, identify improvement opportunities and design future-state processes that reduce friction and improve the use of data, technology, automation and AI. You will independently deliver defined improvement initiatives while supporting larger transformation programmes.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and document end-to-end Marketing & Commercial processes, identifying pain points, inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
- Investigate root causes and help create practical, business-focused solutions that improve performance and clarity.
- Design and implement future-state processes in partnership with subject matter experts and stakeholders.
- Support workshops, requirements gathering, testing and implementation activities across transformation initiatives.
- Deliver workflow simplification and improvement opportunities, including the use of data, automation and AI to reduce manual effort.
- Help establish process governance, ownership, decision rights and sustainable ways of working.
- Work across Marketing & Commercial, MarCom Technology and wider McLaren teams to align processes, systems and data.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement through effective documentation, measurement and process review practices.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
