Specialist Neurodevelopmental Practitioner – ADHD & Autism
Norwich, Norfolk (Hybrid) | Permanent | Full-Time & Part-Time (Minimum 3 Days / 15 Hours per Week)
Salary
Up to £55,000 per annum (depending on experience)
About the Role
Are you an experienced clinician passionate about delivering high-quality neurodevelopmental assessments within a supportive multidisciplinary team?
We're looking for dedicated clinicians to join a growing specialist service delivering evidence-based ADHD and autism assessments for children and young people across NHS-funded and private pathways. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a clinician-led organisation that prioritises clinical excellence, collaboration, and person-centred care.
As a Specialist Neurodevelopmental Practitioner, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality assessments and helping children, young people, and their families access timely, accurate diagnoses and appropriate support.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting face-to-face structured observations as part of the neurodevelopmental assessment process
- Completing remote developmental history interviews with parents and carers
- Participating in MDT diagnostic discussions with support from senior clinicians where required
- Providing clear, compassionate feedback to families
- Producing high-quality clinical reports and diagnostic formulations using smart digital reporting tools
- Managing your caseload effectively while meeting service KPIs
- Delivering clinical supervision where appropriate
- Travelling to the Norwich clinic for in-person assessments as part of a hybrid role

What We're Looking For
Applicants must have:
- A minimum of one year's professional registration with one of the following:
- HCPC
- NMC
- GMC
- Social Work England
- At least one year's experience conducting autism and/or ADHD diagnostic assessments for children and young people
- Strong knowledge of DSM-5 diagnostic criteria and differential diagnosis within neurodevelopmental conditions
- Experience using recognised assessment tools such as ADOS-2, ADI-R or equivalent
- Excellent report writing, communication and organisational skills
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary team

This established, clinician-led neurodevelopmental service delivers high-quality assessments across NHS and private pathways, supporting children, young people and their families through compassionate, evidence-based care.
Assessments are delivered in line with recognised national standards, with a strong emphasis on multidisciplinary working, clinical quality and achieving positive outcomes for every individual.
