Spire Shawfair Park is now recruiting a Specialist Nurse to join their CYP team.
Spire Shawfair Park Hospital is a modern, purpose-built private hospital located in south-east Edinburgh. As part of Spire Edinburgh Hospitals, it provides a comprehensive range of treatments, diagnostics, and specialist services, supported by experienced consultants and dedicated clinical teams. Since opening in 2010, the hospital has been delivering high-quality healthcare to patients across Edinburgh, East Lothian, Midlothian, and the Scottish Borders, offering excellent facilities, convenient access, and a strong focus on outstanding patient care.
Duties and responsibilities
- Delivering excellent pre and post-surgical care to paediatric patients
- Assisting in clinics, minor operations, and recovery
- Assist in the delivery of family-centred care to meet the health and wellbeing needs of patients.
- Provide and receive complex, sensitive, or contentious information.
- Develop own knowledge and skills and that of others.
- Promotes best Practise in Health and Safety, security, and safeguarding the welfare of children.

Who we're looking for
- Be NMC registered Nurse with a Children’s qualification - your pin should not have any restrictions or conditions
- Previous experience within a surgical setting would be advantageous
- Paediatric CCU experience would be advantageous but not essential
- Recovery experience would be ideal, however, training can be given
- Flexibility is essential for this opportunity
