About Us

We are Manchester and Trafford Local Care Organisation - a public sector organisation that is bringing together NHS community health services and social care services in the city. We’re driven by the aim of improving the health of local people in Manchester by working across organisational boundaries.

Role Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our innovative team of nurses in the IV team as Team Lead of one of our Vascular Access Services. In 2022 the MCR IV team expanded to also cover vascular access at NMGH. The service soon grew and now operates also at Manchester Royal Infirmary.

The aim of the service is to provide timely access to a range of vascular access devices for patients and to provide training to staff to safely look after them. This will not only prevent delays for patients starting important treatments but will enhance the overall patients experience.

Responsibilities

  • Take over the leadership role in the vascular access service at the North Manchester General Hospital.
  • Work collaboratively with other services to enable a standardised and integrated approach to vascular access across all MFT hospitals.
  • Engage with clinicians from a range of disciplines and specialties.
  • Support in the scoping and designing vascular access services that will work across the primary and secondary care interfaces for Manchester/Trafford registered patients.
  • Assess suitability of referrals, insert devices, review patients, audit of the service and develop training and education packages for staff.
  • Work with providers to ensure an efficient and cost-effective service that is responsive and up to date with current practices.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
