Role: Band 6 Occupational Therapist

Location: Milford Hospital

About the Role: The Royal Surrey County Hospital is seeking a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the therapy team on the in-patient wards at Milford Hospital. The successful candidate will have completed their basic rotations and is eager to expand their knowledge, skills, and experience within a sub-acute setting.

Team: You will be part of a dynamic, experienced, and friendly team that includes physiotherapists, nurses, doctors, and support workers. This team provides rehabilitation to sub-acute ortho-geriatric and frailty patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform to a high clinical standard
  • Supervise Band 5s and/or assistants, and Occupational Therapy students on placement
  • Contribute to service development
  • Directly manage your caseload of patients referred for Occupational Therapy assessment, rehabilitation, and management within the multi-disciplinary team
  • Assist in the management of the specialist team, providing, developing, and planning an Occupational Therapy service for this client group
