UHCW NHS Trust has a new and exciting opportunity for Occupational Therapists!!

With frailty and an ageing population being at the forefront of evolving services across the NHS, now is the time to get involved and be part of the positive impacts we can have for our patients.

We are looking for Occupational Therapists that are passionate about supporting frailty patients within an acute setting to join our new rotation.

Rotation Details

The rotation currently covers the Care of the Elderly and our Medicine wards, with the aim to expand into other relevant clinical inpatient areas.

Care of the Elderly

  • Covers 4 x wards, serving our older population.
  • Main conditions treated include: delirium, falls, dementia, infections.

Medicine

  • Covers 4 wards, serving a general medical caseload.
  • This includes endocrinology, respiratory and infectious diseases.

Within both clinical teams, the patient population are often frail and at high risk of reconditioning, therefore if you have well-rounded inpatient knowledge and an interest in frailty and preventing deconditioning, this may be the post for you!

Key Responsibilities

  • To manage a caseload of patients with varying diagnosis and / or complex needs, using evidence-based practice with client-centred principles, to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions.
  • To support the learning and development of students and staff.
  • To develop enhanced clinical skills and knowledge in an area of interest linked with patient cohorts (e.g. cognition, specific clinical condition, prehabilitation / acute rehabilitation).
  • To participate in 7-day working patterns as required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
