Specialist Pharmacist

Band 7 | Part Time – 26.25 Hours per Week

Meadowfield | Worthing

£49,387 – £56,515 per annum (pro rata)

The role

As a Specialist Pharmacist, you'll provide expert clinical pharmacy and medicines optimisation services as a core member of the inpatient multidisciplinary team, helping ensure patients receive safe, effective, and person-centred care.

You'll:

  • Deliver specialist clinical pharmacy services to inpatient mental health wards
  • Provide expert medicines optimisation advice to patients and clinical teams
  • Support multidisciplinary decision-making with evidence-based pharmacotherapy advice
  • Contribute to medicines education and training for patients and healthcare professionals
  • Help develop the Trust's new in-house Pharmacy Hub and medicines supply service
  • Participate in the pharmacy on-call advice service with senior support available

  • GPhC registration and a Pharmacy degree (or recognised equivalent)
  • Excellent communication and multidisciplinary working skills
  • Experience working alongside a range of healthcare professionals
  • Strong clinical judgement and an interest in mental health pharmacy
  • Enthusiasm, flexibility, and a commitment to improving patient care
