Aberdeenshire H&SCP Aberdeenshire Health and Social Care Partnership Specialist Pharmacist Primary Care
Band 7
We have an opportunity available within Aberdeenshire Formartine cluster covering GP practices & Community Hospital in Turriff, Ellon, Haddo, Fyvie-Oldmedrum.
Working Hours:
Full time 36h, part time (min 3 days, 21.6h/week will be considered)
Working Days:
Monday - Friday
About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a registered pharmacist to join the Pharmacotherapy teams working across Aberdeenshire. The post holder will join a team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians and be key to the ongoing provision of the pharmacotherapy service and promoting quality, cost-effective prescribing of medicines.
The post holder will support GP practices and community hospitals, covering all aspects of medicines management in line with local and national guidelines. You may have a community or hospital pharmacy background.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support GP practices and community hospitals.
- Manage all aspects of medicines management in line with local and national guidelines.
- Promote quality, cost-effective prescribing of medicines.
Required Skills:
- Good communication, interpersonal and time management skills.
- Experience of working within Primary Care, medicines management and audit would be an advantage.
- Independent Prescriber qualification would be an advantage.

Work Arrangements:
- The post will include onsite working in GP Practices and/or remote working from an agreed base within the HSCP cluster area.
- Options can be discussed with one of the Lead Pharmacists, and we encourage this ahead of applying.
Other Requirements:
- A full driving licence is essential.
