Exciting Opportunity for Pharmacist in Aseptic Services Unit

This is a fixed term contract ending on 30/04/2027.

About the Role

The Pharmacy Aseptic Unit supplies around 50,000 products per annum. We are in the process of building a new Aseptic Unit with state-of-the-art equipment and technology to enable the Trust to provide advanced therapies and participate in gene therapy clinical trials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Head of Production and the Lead Pharmacist for the management and strategic development of the service.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance to support the operation of the Quality Management System.
  • Take responsibility for the professional aspects of the service, overseeing the non-cancer clinical screening and supervising junior pharmacists.
  • Develop clinical pharmacy knowledge and skills via a regular ward or Royal Surrey Cancer Centre Pharmacy commitment.

  • Be a team player with the ability to introduce change.
  • Have a personal commitment to training and development.
  • Have previous experience in aseptic services.

  • Ensure the safe, effective and compliant delivery of aseptically prepared medicines.
  • Lead the development of the service through governance, quality assurance, workforce training, digital systems and service improvement.
  • Provide specialist clinical expertise, supporting innovation and ensuring compliance with regulatory and professional standards to deliver high-quality patient care.
