Specialist Pharmacist Role
Are you enthusiastic and passionate about improving the lives of patients with mental health conditions, then a role as a specialist pharmacist in our Mental Health and Learning Disabilities Trust could be right for you. We have an exciting opportunity for an innovative, skilled clinical pharmacist to work as a core member of in-patient and community teams across East Sussex, being based at our new hospital.

You should have an interest in working within a specialist mental health service, an understanding of the medicines used and patients we care for.
Main Responsibilities
- Supported to undertake further accreditation and training as appropriate.
- Many opportunities to develop the role and service to in-patient wards.
- Joining a friendly, supportive pharmacy team which is highly regarded in the Trust.
- Represents a great opportunity to start or continue a career in mental health and can lead to future senior roles.
- Provide a clinical pharmacy and medicines optimisation service.
- Ensure patients get the best from their medicines.
- Have a strong commitment to medicines education and training.
- Support the safe and effective use of medicines within the service.
- Working closely with the pharmacy staff within the East Sussex locality of Sussex Partnership.
- Part of the wider service MDT and Trust wide pharmacy team.
- An excellent clinical communicator with an interest in patient facing and multidisciplinary team working.
- Appraisal of clinical evidence and generation of high quality pharmacotherapeutic advice to support colleagues.
