Sheffield Teaching Hospitals Community Services rated outstanding by the CQC are looking to recruit a 0.8 WTE Band 6 Physiotherapist for a permanent post in the West of the city.
The work in the community includes a varied caseload of Respiratory, Musculoskeletal, Orthopaedic, and Neurology conditions. You will have direct access to clinical specialists for support with complex patients. You should be used to working in a multidisciplinary integrated environment, have significant post-registration NHS experience, and have excellent communication skills.
Role Responsibilities:
- To assess, diagnose, plan, and develop specialized physiotherapy treatment programs for patients/clients with a wide variety of physical/mental health needs in a community setting.
- To manage a caseload of community-based patients with complex needs using specialist skills and evidence-based/patient-centered principles.
- To supervise/train inexperienced physiotherapists/assistants/students working within the service.

Therapy provides a comprehensive in-service training program and support staff with their post-graduate training. The opportunity to develop leadership skills such as the development and delivery of education, supervision, mentorship, research, and service development.
Service Details:
This service is a 7-day service, which includes Bank Holiday cover but this is done on a rota basis.
Contract Details:
This vacancy is advertised on a fixed-term contract basis for the maximum period of 12 months. Where there is potential, the secondment/fixed-term contract may finish early, or in the first instance, the secondment/fixed-term contract may be extended due to the internal/external secondment of the substantive post holder. The fixed-term contract status of the post holder will be reviewed in accordance with the Trust's legal obligations regarding fixed-term contracts and secondments in relation to the substantive post holder.

Please note all existing NHS staff will only be considered on a secondment basis. This must first be agreed with your substantive line manager.
