Band 6 Specialist Physiotherapist - Stroke Unit
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 Specialist Physiotherapist to join our dynamic Stroke Unit, supporting patients across both Hyper Acute and Acute Stroke services.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced and rewarding specialist area, caring for patients with a wide range of complex neurological presentations. The role offers excellent opportunities to develop advanced clinical skills, including tonal management, early rehabilitation, respiratory physiotherapy, and the management of patients with high levels of acuity.
Key Responsibilities

Clinical Expertise:
- Manage a caseload of patients with varying diagnosis and/or complex needs.
- Use evidence-based practice and client-centered principles to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate interventions in a defined clinical setting.
- Provide Respiratory Physiotherapy, including on the on-call rota and at weekends.
- Support the learning and development of students and staff.

Service Development:
- Participate in the planning, development, and evaluation of clinical practice and service development within the area.

- Leadership and Training:
- Ensure the development of staff and students through supervision, training, and appraisal.
- Participate in 7-day working patterns as required.
