Specialist Physiotherapist (Stroke) - Band 6 - 26.25hrs
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our experienced team of specialist physiotherapists within our Integrated Stroke Therapy Team, on part-time basis. The successful candidate will be part of a large, busy acute and rehabilitation stroke service located in the Primary Stroke Centre at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust.
About Us
We are looking for an enthusiastic, conscientious and flexible team player with excellent communication skills. Experience of neuro rehabilitation and working within an integrated stroke team is essential. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an adaptable approach to an ever-changing complex environment whilst meeting national stroke guidelines and stroke standards.
Responsibilities
- Work within a multi-disciplinary team providing specialist complex clinical assessments, physiotherapy treatment, and advice to patients with complex neurological needs.
- Have excellent communication skills using a variety of media to discuss needs and progress with patients and relatives.
- Manage a clinical caseload, including those with highly complex needs.
- Supervise and support the band 5 therapists with caseload management.
- Ensure patients are prioritised and managed appropriately and timely discharge plans are made by liaising closely with the wider team and other agencies.
