Do you want to join an innovative team working in the new 47 million pound Urgent and Emergency care facility on the East Coast?
The Rapid Assessment Therapy Service (RATS) are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate and driven individual to join the team for a fixed term ending 15th November 2027, this role is a maternity cover. The individual must be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills to support developing the service, to provide high quality, timely therapy assessment and interventions at the front door.
Role Overview
As a Senior Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist you will provide assessment, treatment and management advice for patients within the therapy team covering all front door areas; including prioritising/managing the daily caseload within the team, assessing and delivering therapy interventions, ensuring the highest professional standards of care are maintained, demonstrating adherence to the Trust Values and operating as a leader in the team, service and organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide assessment, treatment and management advice for patients within the therapy team covering all front door areas
- Prioritise/manage the daily caseload within the team
- Assess and deliver therapy interventions
- Ensure the highest professional standards of care are maintained
- Demonstrate adherence to the Trust Values
- Operate as a leader in the team, service and organisation
- Provide specialist advice to therapy staff and other members of the multidisciplinary team and wider team
- Use a client-centred approach to patient care
- Participate in and provide clinical and management supervision
- Contribute to multi-disciplinary team working
- Contribute to and lead on service improvement and quality initiatives
- Use the Trust electronic patient record system
- Contribute to Comprehensive Geriatric Assessments
- Abide by all Trust policies and procedures
- Be able to respond flexibly and creatively to challenges
