If you are passionate about podiatry and want to provide a quality service for the high-risk patients of Bolton, we are looking to welcome you into our integrated specialist podiatry team.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for treatment planning and management of foot complications associated with, for example, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, and vascular/ischaemic long-term conditions. You will be part of the foot protection team and have the opportunity to work across all areas of podiatry including:
- Biomechanics/MSK assessment clinics
- Orthoses manufacturing
- Ulcer/wound-care clinics
- Nail surgery
- PAD clinics
The post holder will also have the opportunity to work in the hospital and community. You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary therapy team offering specialist podiatric assessment and treatment via a holistic approach to a varied and complex caseload.
Responsibilities
- Work across both community settings and within a hospital-based environment, with clinical work from a variety of community clinic locations and domiciliary settings; a car is therefore essential for this role.
- Actively participate in regular CPD sessions and complex case discussions.
- Provide an efficient and high-quality specialised podiatry service for high-risk patients throughout all specialist areas as per service need.
- As an experienced autonomous practitioner, assess, diagnose, and treat patients on their case lists in all clinical settings.
- Supervise recently qualified podiatrists, assistants, and students.
- Participate in Continuing Professional Development, clinical audit, and in-service training.
- Be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of their professional and clinical work, working to agreed national and professional standards.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
