We would like to offer an opportunity for a highly motivated and enthusiastic podiatrist to join our multidisciplinary diabetic foot team based at the Norfolk & Norwich University NHS Foundation Trust.
This is a really exciting opportunity to join a well-established multidisciplinary diabetic foot team which is one of the largest in the East of England and we see over 700 new patients and 6500 follow-ups per year, all of whom have complex foot disease.
What we can offer
- Join a team of seven podiatrists.
- Work alongside consultants’ colleagues in diabetes, microbiology, renal, vascular, plastics, and orthopedic surgery in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Be actively involved in several large multicenter research projects and publish widely on many aspects of diabetic foot disease.
- Work in both inpatient and outpatients treating people with acute diabetic foot complications.
- Experience dedicated medical and surgical clinics and ward rounds.
- Be supported to develop skills in the management of infection, specialist debridement, and off-loading.
- Be involved in clinical research being carried out within the department.
- Actively involved in the delivery of departmental education material as a teaching hospital.
