About Allica Bank

Allica is the UK’s fastest growing company - and the fastest-growing financial technology (Fintech) firm ever. Our purpose is to help established SMEs, one of the last major underserved opportunities in Fintech.

Established SMEs are the backbone of local communities - representing over a third of our economy - yet have been largely neglected both by traditional high street banks and modern fintech providers.

About the Team

Allica is on a mission to become Britain’s most recommended business bank, by providing established SMEs – who represent more than a third of UK GDP – with lending, savings and current accounts, delivered through the latest proprietary technology alongside expert human relationships.

The Distribution team are responsible for the development and execution of the Allica Bank commercial strategy to generate profitable opportunities to meet SME customer needs safely by working with customers and Commercial Mortgage Introducers across Britain. Based on using modern tools, having local relationships and tailored expertise.

Within the Distribution team sits the Specialist Relationship Managers (“SRM”) team who originate and manage all Healthcare Transactions (including Elderly Care Homes, Specialist Care Homes and Children’s Day Nurseries) across the Bank.

Role Description

Reporting to the Senior Specialist Relationship Manager, you will be responsible for developing and nurturing relationships with a portfolio of remotely managed SME healthcare clients across the UK, with a particular focus on elderly care, specialist learning disability and children’s day nursery operators.

In your role you will be the relationship contact point for these businesses, ensuring high-quality in-life customer management, supporting credit submissions, and contributing to the seamless delivery of Allica Bank’s Healthcare lending proposition.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
