Job Opportunity: Radiographer
Are you passionate about CT and dedicated to providing high-quality patient care and excellent service? Do you want to gain more CT experience? If so, this is the job for you!
We are seeking an enthusiastic Radiographer to join our friendly team. You will be required to work at Preston Hospital and at the new Community Diagnostic Centre and may occasionally be required to work at Chorley Hospital.
Ideally, you will have prior CT experience, but training will be provided to suitable and motivated candidates.
Within the trust, we have 4 static scanners and a mobile scanner. We also have a PMCT scanner. If desired, there is the possibility of gaining experience in the PMCT department.
We undertake a variety of scans including major trauma, neurosurgical, oncology, vascular, cardiac, and colonography.
We actively promote role development and CPD by encouraging staff to undertake post-graduate courses and further training.
The department operates 24/7, and we require candidates to be flexible to meet the needs of the department. Current working patterns include long days, weekends, and night shifts.

Responsibilities:
- You will be responsible for the planning and allocation of work in the specific area of the department assigned, to ensure the timely delivery of an effective service.
- You will monitor and maintain standards of professional practice, supervise more junior staff, and deploy staff assuring standards are met.
- As well as providing leadership and direction to the team, acting as a role model, and patient advocate.
- This role requires you to assess, plan, and make informed decisions on the required imaging examinations, providing advice, and maintaining associated records.
- You will also be required to support the aims and vision of the Trust and to take personal responsibility for the quality of the service provided.
