Occupational Therapist Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced band 5, or existing band 6, Occupational therapist to join our integrated therapy teams on a, based in the acute setting at The Royal Oldham Hospital.

Role Responsibilities

You will rotate across general medicine, respiratory medicine, the acute medical unit, colorectal and vascular surgery.

  • Experience a wide range of complex medical conditions requiring advanced assessment and discharge planning skills.
  • Support and supervise junior members of the team.
  • Contribute to innovative service development across the department.
  • Work closely with our multi-disciplinary team, working within an integrated model of care to provide timely assessments, rehabilitation, and support with discharge planning for our patients.
  • Gain experience of working in a busy and pro-active environment where evidence-based practice is embedded and joint working, service development, and CPD is encouraged.

Role Expectations

As a band 6, you will receive support from the band 7 team leader and peers. You will be expected to provide supervision to more junior staff and students.

The service operates over seven days, and as such, some weekend working is required as part of the role.
