About the Role

- Develop and deliver age-appropriate educational sessions, training, workshops, and resources for school staff, students, and parents.
- Support schools to provide early interventions for young people affected by their own or parental drug and alcohol use.
- Deliver harm reduction advice and identify emerging trends and risks affecting young people.
- Follow safeguarding procedures to identify, manage, and prevent potential harm.
- Promote and support access to harm reduction services, including BBV testing, vaccination, and needle exchange.
- Manage a caseload, including assessments, risk management, care planning, referrals, discharge, and aftercare.
- Deliver outreach, diversionary activities, advice, and information within the local community.
- Maintain accurate and timely records using appropriate case management systems.
- Participate in supervision, performance reviews, training, and ongoing professional development.
- Work in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, procedures, and clinical governance requirements.
- Promote and demonstrate the organisation’s workplace values of being honest, committed, and inventive.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
