About the Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a leading global financial services organisation within its Wealth Services Operations division.
We are seeking a Specialist, Shareholder Services to join a high-performing operations team responsible for transaction tax processing, reconciliations, exception management, and client servicing activities across a highly regulated asset servicing environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in Asset Servicing, Custody Operations, Settlements, Securities Operations, Shareholder Services, Investment Operations, or Financial Services Operations who are looking to further develop their career within a global financial institution.
The Opportunity
This role offers exposure to a broad range of operational activities, including:
- Supporting transaction tax processing activities across the trade lifecycle
- Investigating and resolving SDRT and Stamp Duty exceptions
- Verifying daily tax balances and performing reconciliation activities
- Processing and managing SDRT and Stamp Duty reclaims
- Monitoring client submissions to ensure regulatory requirements are met
- Reviewing trade and tax information received from CSDs and market counterparties
- Processing Euroclear SDRT reclaims
- Supporting French, Italian, and Spanish Financial Transaction Tax (FTT) reconciliations
- Monitoring and managing unpaid CREST positions
- Creating and processing payments in line with HMRC and regulatory deadlines
- Managing client queries via phone and email
- Maintaining operational controls and supporting risk and compliance requirements

What We're Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience within Financial Services Operations, Asset Servicing, Custody Operations, Settlements, Securities Operations, Shareholder Services, or Investment Operations
- Strong attention to detail and operational control mindset
- Experience performing reconciliations, investigations, exception management, or transaction processing
- Proven track record of delivering excellent client service
- Experience handling client queries by telephone and email
- Ability to work effectively within a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Outlook, Word, and Access
Desirable Experience
- Exposure to SDRT, Stamp Duty, Financial Transaction Tax (FTT), or transaction tax processing
- Asset Servicing or Custody Operations experience
- Securities settlement knowledge
- Understanding of CREST settlement processes
- Exposure to Euroclear or other market infrastructures
- Experience working with trade lifecycle and post-trade operational activities
