Are you an experienced speech and language therapist ready to step up, or a specialist speech and language therapist seeking a fresh opportunity to develop leadership skills and contribute to meaningful service development especially in terms of universal and targeted offer in schools?
Our Merton Speech and Language Therapy Team is expanding! We’re offering an exciting full-time specialist S< opportunity within our vibrant, friendly team—this role will include supporting Merton’s response to the SEND reform and delivering our ‘experts at hand’ offer for speech and language therapy support in primary schools.
About The Team
Our team works within the Local Authority across mainstream and specialist settings, the Youth Offending Team, and the Virtual School for Children in Care. We deliver high-quality statutory, targeted, and universal SLT support. We collaborate with educational professionals, occupational therapists, NHS health therapists, Educational psychologists, and SEN teams to ensure a joined-up, inclusive approach to care.

- Regular supervision (individual and peer-based)
- Clinical Leads in Autism, SEMH, DLD, and Complex Needs
- Funded internal and external CPD opportunities

- Focus on evidence-based practice and clinical autonomy
- HCPC and RCSLT membership fees funded
Flexible Working
The team is based at the Civic Centre in Morden, with flexible working arrangements supported by excellent IT. Admin time can be completed at home where appropriate. We cover mileage and public transport costs for travel between schools as well as reimburse professional fees for HCPC and RCSLT Membership.
