Ready to take the next step in your Speech and Language Therapy Career?

We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated Speech and Language Therapists to join our friendly and supportive Acute Adult & Paediatric Speech and Language Therapy Service. We have permanent full-time opportunities available within either our specialist Stroke Team or our Specialist Medicine Teams.

These are substantive posts rather than rotational positions, offering the opportunity to develop expertise within your chosen clinical area while benefiting from the support, professional development opportunities and clinical supervision available within a large and experienced acute SLT department.

Whether you are looking to build on existing acute experience or further develop specialist skills, we can offer a rewarding role within a team that is committed to high-quality patient care, innovation and continuous improvement.

There are strong links with the wider MDT. There will be opportunities to develop leadership skills through projects and delivering training. There might be a requirement to work at the weekend or bank holidays as part of a rota.

We are able to offer these posts as band 5 to 6 progression posts (subject to Annexe 21 guidance) dependent on prior experience. The progression posts will be up to 12 months, working through a competency framework. Training, support, and supervision would be provided.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
