We are looking for a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our new and exciting Experts at Hand pathway to work in education provisions.

Main Duties of the Job
Speech and Language Therapists are core to the efficient service delivery that we provide to children, young people and their families.
As a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, you will:
- Jointly lead the implementation of the Government's Experts at Hand initiative.
- Work closely with schools, supporting the development of communication-friendly environments that enable children and young people to thrive.
- Develop training programmes and resources, including packages that can be used by assistants and schools to run language groups independently.
- Build the skills and confidence of assistants, education staff, and other support professionals, providing guidance and coaching for them to deliver the packages developed.
- Work in partnership with the Local Authority, helping to ensure that schools access the appropriate level of support and that interventions are delivered effectively.
- Monitor outcomes, provide feedback, and contribute to the oversight of the programme.
- Collaborate closely with Occupational Therapists and other professionals, as well as schools and educational settings, to ensure a coordinated approach for children and young people.

Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers, and attend a number of drop-in sessions focusing on engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Goodmayes Hospital.

Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period.
High Cost Area Supplement - Outer London
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,870 and a maximum payment of £6,137 per annum, pro rata for part time)
High Cost Area Supplement - Fringe
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £1,346 and a maximum payment of £2,270 per annum, pro rata for part time)

Although we are a registered sponsor organisation, we are unable to offer sponsorship for all job roles. Please check your eligibility under the UKVI points-based system. When calculating the basic salary for sponsorship, HCAS (High-Cost Area Supplement) is not included to ensure fairness and consistency within our Trust.
