Your new role
You will provide stop-smoking support to individuals and groups across the community, delivering advice, behavioural support and structured quit programmes both face-to-face and remotely to help people improve their health and wellbeing.
Hours
- 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week)
Contract
- ASAP start | 1-month temporary contract (subject to review)
Pay Rate
- Negotiable depending on experience
Key responsibilities
- Deliver stop-smoking interventions and behavioural support programmes.
- Support service users using NRT, Champix and e-cigarette interventions.
- Promote stop-smoking services through community engagement and outreach activities.
- Work with healthcare professionals, pharmacists and partner agencies.
- Maintain accurate electronic records and case notes.
- Support service targets and increase engagement with priority groups.
- Provide guidance and support to volunteers, students and new staff.

We are keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:
- Experience of smoking cessation interventions and behaviour change.
- Experience within health and/or social care.
- Experience carrying out assessments and managing risk.
- Strong communication, engagement and IT skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding, equality and inclusion.
Desirable:
- Previous smoking cessation experience.
- NCSCT Level 2 or Level 3 qualification.
- PTLLS or equivalent training.
- Knowledge of local services and communities.
