Your new role

You will provide stop-smoking support to individuals and groups across the community, delivering advice, behavioural support and structured quit programmes both face-to-face and remotely to help people improve their health and wellbeing.

Hours

  • 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week)

Contract

  • ASAP start | 1-month temporary contract (subject to review)

Pay Rate

  • Negotiable depending on experience

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver stop-smoking interventions and behavioural support programmes.
  • Support service users using NRT, Champix and e-cigarette interventions.
  • Promote stop-smoking services through community engagement and outreach activities.
  • Work with healthcare professionals, pharmacists and partner agencies.
  • Maintain accurate electronic records and case notes.
  • Support service targets and increase engagement with priority groups.
  • Provide guidance and support to volunteers, students and new staff.

We are keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Experience of smoking cessation interventions and behaviour change.
  • Experience within health and/or social care.
  • Experience carrying out assessments and managing risk.
  • Strong communication, engagement and IT skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding, equality and inclusion.

Desirable:

  • Previous smoking cessation experience.
  • NCSCT Level 2 or Level 3 qualification.
  • PTLLS or equivalent training.
  • Knowledge of local services and communities.
