Eligibility Criteria
- Completion of the relevant National Autistic Society (NAS) training modules
- Training costs approximately GBP180 per hour
- Successful completion is necessary prior to commencing the role
About the Role
Randstad Student Support are recruiting for Specialist:one:to:one Study Skills Support Workers to work with autistic students studying in Universities within Dorset.
Responsibilities
As a Specialist:one:to:one Study Skills Support Worker, you will:
- Provide learning support and academic guidance
- Create an individual learning plan tailored to the student's needs
- Encourage the student to become an independent learner
- Support students to:
- Develop independence
- Build on strengths and learning strategies
- Create strategies around organisation and time management
- Create action plans to stay on track with studies
- Build on research skills by widening knowledge using a variety of sources
- Distinguish appropriate sources and correctly use references
- Build on comprehension skills in reading and writing
