Since 2024, Flippd has been providing specialist support directly to parents of children and young people aged 8–18 years. Our mission is simple: to help families gain clarity, confidence and access to the right support through high-quality dyslexia assessments and ongoing guidance.
We believe that a diagnosis is just the beginning. Parents often feel overwhelmed by the process, so we work alongside them every step of the way, ensuring they understand their child's needs and know how to access the right support.
Our work
We support families by:
- Completing high-quality dyslexia assessments for children and young people aged 8–18.
- Helping parents understand what a dyslexia diagnosis means in practical terms.
- Providing clear, evidence-based recommendations tailored to each child.
- Guiding parents through the EHCP process and other educational pathways where appropriate.
- Advising on assistive technology and the most effective learning tools.
- Delivering wellbeing support and practical strategies to help children thrive both academically and emotionally.
- Offering ongoing support after assessment, ensuring families feel informed and empowered rather than left to navigate the system alone.
Our assessments and support can be delivered in person or online, providing flexibility for both families and practitioners.
The role
As demand for our services continues to grow, we are looking to appoint experienced Specialist Teachers who are passionate about helping children and families understand dyslexia and access the support they deserve.

You will:
- Carry out comprehensive diagnostic dyslexia assessments using recognised, standardised assessment tools.
- Produce high-quality, professional assessment reports that clearly explain findings, identify strengths and areas of need, and provide practical recommendations.
- Meet with families to discuss assessment outcomes in a supportive, compassionate and accessible way.
- Provide evidence-based advice on effective interventions, classroom strategies, reasonable adjustments and assistive technology.
- Work collaboratively with parents, schools and other professionals to ensure recommendations can be successfully implemented.
- Deliver assessments either in person, online or through a combination of both.
About you
You will:
- Hold a recognised postgraduate qualification in Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD)/Dyslexia.
- Hold a current Assessment Practising Certificate (APC), enabling you to carry out formal diagnostic dyslexia assessments.
- Have experience conducting diagnostic dyslexia assessments and producing professional reports.
- Have excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex information with warmth, empathy and clarity.
- Be organised, compassionate and committed to delivering an exceptional experience for every family.

Essential requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Recognised postgraduate qualification in Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD)/Dyslexia.
- Current Assessment Practising Certificate (APC).
- Experience conducting formal diagnostic dyslexia assessments and producing written reports.
