Would you like to work in a small, friendly, and collaborative Neurophysiology team alongside a Consultant Neurophysiologist and experienced specialist physiologists? We are looking for experienced Clinical Physiologists to join our staff bank team to provide flexible specialist cover and support the delivery of our Neurophysiology services.

This role offers the opportunity to work across a wide range of specialist investigations while maintaining flexibility through bank working. Appointment will be at Band 6 or Band 7 depending on experience, qualifications, and scope of practice.

In this role, you will play a key part in delivering a comprehensive Neurophysiology service, undertaking a range of routine and advanced investigations including:

  • EEG
  • Nerve conduction studies
  • Routine Evoked Potentials

You will have the opportunity to contribute to our physiologist-led Nerve Conduction Study clinics, assessing patients with suspected carpal tunnel syndrome and ulnar neuropathy, and for Band 7 practitioners, peripheral neuropathies including lower limb studies. Alongside NCS, you will undertake routine, sleep-deprived, and Melatonin-induced sleep EEGs within the department and across Trust wards, including ICU and other inpatient areas as required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
