Salary - £78,136 per annum FTE
Part-time 22.5 hours per week, 9-month fixed term

Priory Hospital Woodbourne is looking for a Speciality Doctor to join our team on a 9-month fixed-term contract. This is a part-time role working 22.5 hours per week, with an actual salary of £39,962 per annum.

Set in the leafy suburb of Edgbaston, just a short distance from Birmingham City Centre, Priory Hospital Woodbourne provides a welcoming and well-connected working environment within beautifully maintained grounds. With excellent access to the West Midlands motorway network and strong local public transport links, the site is easily accessible.

What you'll be doing

As a Speciality Doctor, you will provide high-quality psychiatric and medical care to patients across the adult psychiatric wards at Priory Hospital Woodbourne. Working closely with Consultant Psychiatrists, multidisciplinary teams and other healthcare professionals, you will support the assessment, diagnosis, treatment and ongoing management of patients with acute mental health conditions, while contributing to their physical healthcare and recovery.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide safe, effective and recovery-focused psychiatric and medical care.
  • Support the assessment, diagnosis and ongoing management of patients.
  • Work collaboratively with Consultant Psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Contribute to the delivery of comprehensive physical healthcare within the inpatient setting.
  • Liaise with RMOs, GPs, pharmacists and external agencies to support coordinated patient care.
