Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Clinical Assessment Unit

The post holder will be expected to take part in the assessment and management of acute patients admitted to the CAU. This will include taking part in the daily assessment of patients, initiating management plans for these patients, and performing procedures (under supervision if needed). Rochdale Infirmary does not have level 2 care, therefore you will be expected to make decisions on who can be managed on this site and who may need escalating off-site.

Medical SDEC

As a senior clinical decision maker, you will work with experienced doctors, Advanced Care Practitioners, senior nurses to screen and accept referrals from the Urgent Treatment Centre, General Practitioners, North West Ambulance Service, and community services including the Rapid response Response team and Hospital at Home teams. The caseload encompasses a broad range of ambulatory care-sensitive medical conditions for which you will provide clinical assessments, formulate investigation and management plans, and offer safe onward referral or discharge.

You may also assist in coordinating the care of patients assessed by other practitioners, offering your knowledge and advice in support of the department outside usual office hours.
