Specialty Doctor – First Response Service (Mid Mersey)
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Specialty Doctor to join our First Response Service (FRS) based at Hollins Park Hospital. We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive clinician to provide clinical expertise and leadership within a dynamic and fast-paced service.
Working alongside the Operational Manager, Clinical Service Manager, and FRS Specialty Doctor based at Clock View, you will play a key role in delivering a responsive, high-quality service and supporting ongoing service development. There will also be opportunities to develop a special clinical interest aligned to Trust priorities.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the assessment and management of patients presenting to FRS across Mid Mersey, working closely with a skilled multidisciplinary team including Advanced Clinical Practitioners, Mental Health Practitioners, Psychologists, Social Workers, and Support Workers.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and motivated team dedicated to delivering outstanding mental health care and improving outcomes for service users.

Responsibilities
- Conduct urgent reviews for the patients and chair management planning meetings involving families, community and social care services.
- Carry out comprehensive psychiatric assessments and provide treatment for patients referred to FRS as in outpatient and community assessment.
- Support FRS staff to manage psychiatric emergencies.
- Conduct patient reviews, and mental health act assessments, and attend multi-professional meetings.
- Maintain a high standard of clinical work when carrying out assessments.
- Ensure compliance with our clinical governance framework, motivate colleagues, champion service user safety and dignity and drive continuous improvement.
