Job Summary
SPECIALTY DOCTOR IN CAMHS
Complex Behaviour Pathway- Barnsley
Permanent, 6 Programmed Activities per week
Southwest Yorkshire Partnership Foundation Trust are recruiting for a Specialty Doctor to join the Complex Behaviour Pathway- Barnsley CAMHS based at New Street Health Centre in Barnsley. This role plays a vital part in ensuring our patients receive the care that they need and will be an integral role within the CAMHS. The post holder will be involved in ADHD assessment and other co-occurring conditions such as mood disorder, attachment disorder, and will be involved in pharmacological management, and liaison with partner agencies such as education, social care, primary care, etc.

Salary will be offered in line with the Specialty Doctor national pay scales and will be determined based on the successful candidates relevant experience. Eligibility
Essential
- Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment. Must have checked GMC eligibility and commenced the application process at the time of NHS jobs application.
- Spent a minimum of 4 years (full time or equivalent) in postgraduate training in the UK or equivalent medical experience, of which at least 3 years in psychiatry.
- At least 6-month experience in CAMHS.
Desirable
- In good standing with GMC with respect to warning and conditions on practice.
- Included on the GMC Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
- Approved under S12 OR able to achieve within six months of appointment.
- Approved clinician status in 12 months time.
- Extensive experience of ADHD assessment and prescribing.
