Are you an experienced Emergency Medicine clinician ready to lead a dynamic team on the front line? United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking dedicated senior decision-makers to join the Emergency Department at Lincoln County Hospital.
About the Role
As a Specialty Doctor, you will provide high-quality, senior-level clinical care and expertise across a 24-hour rota.
- Weekend on-call commitment of no more than 13 weekends as per 2021 contract.
- Assist the Consultants with audit and quality assurance.
- Postgraduate training of junior staff.
- Liaise confidently with general medical practitioners and members of other hospital specialist teams.
This post is based in the Emergency Department at Lincoln County Hospital and is designed for candidates who are working at the level of senior decision maker in Emergency Medicine, or who are ready to take this responsibility and wish to advance their career.

Responsibilities
- Work at a senior level with a minimum entrustment level of 3 in all areas of the RCEM curriculum.
- Act as EPIC (Emergency Physician in Charge) and lead the shop floor shift in the absence of a consultant (Usually between midnight and 8am).
- Provide broad and detailed knowledge, skills, and expertise to the Department of Emergency Medicine at a senior level throughout a 24-hour period.
- Maintain the postholder’s own personal and professional development.
- Assist trainee doctors, ACP’s, and nurses in the team.
