Royal Free London ENT Department Expansion

The Royal Free London ENT department is undergoing exciting changes with a bright future ahead. There has been an £895k investment into this department, which is quickly expanding to occupy the majority of North Central London. The department is being modernized with diversification of its workforce and skill mix to meet the needs of the population in a 21st-century world.

The post holder(s) will be responsible solely for outpatient care of patients at all four sites. These include the newly acquired North Middlesex University Hospital as well as Barnet General, Chase Farm, and the Royal Free Hospitals.

Specialty Doctor in ENT

Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint an additional 2 ENT Specialty Doctors (10 PA) to join its current team at RFL. This is part of its exciting new development and expansion.

The appointee will join the Trust's successful Ear, Nose, and Throat - Head & Neck directorate, which currently comprises a team of eight Consultant Surgeons (with a view to appoint an extra 2), 1 Associate specialist, 1 Specialist Registrar, 12 Specialty doctors, 6 junior clinical fellows, and 2 GPVTS trainees. There are also 3 ENT CNS, 1 Macmillan Head and Neck Cancer Nurse, 1 Rhinology and ENT Clinical Psychologist, and a burgeoning Audiology department. Services are delivered across all Royal Free London sites, including Barnet, Chase Farm, and the Royal Free Hospital, Hampstead, as well as the North Middlesex.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

It is expected that the appointee will contribute to the development and delivery of inpatient and outpatient services. The ENT department hosts University College London Medical School students who also attend clinics.
