The Opportunity
The opportunity has arisen for an experienced Full-time Specialty Doctor with a responsibility in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery for Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.
About the Role
The successful applicant will join an existing team of 6 Specialty Doctors to provide high quality Maxillofacial care. The successful candidate would deliver outpatient clinics for general routine maxillofacial patients and perform surgical procedures; including Day Case theatre. The post holder would be expected to work in a team and to participate in departmental meetings.
Duties
The appointee will be expected to fulfil the following duties with the agreed Job Plan.
- Together with senior colleagues, be responsible for the provision of a comprehensive Maxillofacial Service.
- Work flexibly and co-operatively with other members of the team to provide a high quality, comprehensive service within this teaching hospital environment.
- The main roles and responsibility are the diagnosing, managing and treating of patients referred to the service.
- This will involve conducting outpatient clinics and undertaking surgical interventions and systemic treatment.
- The clinical elements will be agreed with the management team prior to commencing in post.
