Specialty Doctor in Prosthodontics
We are inviting applications for Specialty Doctor in Prosthodontics to join our dynamic team, within the Division of Restorative Dentistry, starting at the earliest opportunity.
We have two posts available, one for 3.4 PAs, fixed term to 28/02/2029 and one for 6.8 PAs, fixed term to 18/05/2027.
These posts will be primarily to support service provision of treatment patients and to support clinical supervision of StRs, DCTs and MClinDent trainees.
The post is based at the Royal National ENT & Eastman Dental Hospitals, part of the Specialist Hospitals Board of University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Successful applicants will join a well established team in providing a wide range of complex Prosthodontic and Restorative procedures, including surgical components. They must be experienced in management of patients requiring a multidisciplinary approach, such as (but not limited to) head and neck cancer, hypodontia and dental trauma. Applicants will be expected to have excellent communication skills and some further postgraduate experience in this field. They should demonstrate evidence of both team working and leadership skills.
Candidates should ideally be on/ eligible for the Specialist Register in Restorative Dentistry/ Prosthodontics or at the minimum demonstrate further postgraduate training in this discipline.

Direct Clinical Care Activities
- Provide care for patients requiring complex restorative/ prosthodontic rehabilitation and multidisciplinary care.
- Provide clinical supervision for StRs, DCTs and MClinDent trainees
- Support the Clinical Lead and rest of team to ensure that departmental service and quality standards and targets are fulfilled.
- Participate in the training activities of the Department and potentially supervise the clinical work of trainees.
- Assist with the development of the clinical service in the Department and help to foster good relationships between the Department and other practitioners
