About the Role
We are seeking a keen and enthusiastic full-time Specialty Doctor in Psychiatry to join our South & West Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) based at Fieldhead Business Centre, Bradford.
This 12-month fixed-term post offers an excellent opportunity to work in a welcoming and supportive multidisciplinary team, contributing to the delivery of high-quality mental health care within the community. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with Consultant Psychiatrists and a wide range of professionals, supporting a service that is focused on recovery, collaboration, and meeting the diverse needs of our local population.
This permanent, full-time post offers excellent support, including admin assistance, IT equipment, and opportunities for professional development. You’ll play a key role in service development, clinical governance, and quality improvement, while enjoying a collaborative and supportive working environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with three Consultant Psychiatrists and a well-established multidisciplinary team, providing assessment, treatment, and ongoing care for adults aged 16–65 with complex mental health needs within a community setting.
- Support a recovery-focused service, working collaboratively with service users, carers, and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes.
- Assess new referrals, undertake medical reviews, attend daily team huddles, multidisciplinary case review meetings, allocation meetings, and leadership meetings.
- Contribute to the ongoing management of patients within the CMHT.
- Undertake home visits where required, provide advice to GPs, liaison teams, and hospital colleagues.
- Support the management of urgent and Mental Health Act-related work.
- Contribute to medical leadership across the service, working alongside Consultant Psychiatrists to support service development, clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement activities.
- Participate in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, supervision of trainees and other healthcare professionals, and involvement in Trust-sponsored research projects where appropriate.
