Specification Advisor
£32,000 to £36,000 Worcester
Our client is a leading manufacturer of innovative construction products and is looking for a Specification Advisor to join their growing team!
As the Specification Advisor, you will help drive the specification of the company’s products by developing relationships with architects, designers, specifiers and other construction industry professionals.
Specification Advisor Roles and Responsibilities:
- Identify and target high-value construction projects
- Build consultative relationships with architects, specifiers and key decision-makers
- Support the successful delivery of CPD presentations
- Provide technical product and specification advice
- Prepare accurate specifications and supporting technical documentation
- Promote the company’s accreditations, certifications and sustainability credentials
- Ensure specifications comply with relevant industry standards
- Work with New Product Development to align specifications with product innovations
- Support and develop the wider specification team
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing and New Product Development teams
- Develop CPD presentations and technical resources
- Support the sales team by converting specifications into commercial opportunities
- Monitor construction industry trends and specification opportunities
- Report on performance, project wins and areas for improvement

Specification Advisor Ideal Candidate:
- Experience within a specification, technical advisory or similar construction role
- Strong knowledge of construction products, specifications and industry standards
- Experience presenting CPDs and providing technical advice to customers
- Confident building relationships with architects, designers and specifiers
- Strong commercial awareness and a proactive, opportunity-focused approach
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Leadership or team management experience
- Positive, driven and collaborative attitude
- Excellent organisation and time-management skills
- Willingness to undertake further training and professional development
Specification Advisor Working Hours and Benefits:
- Full time, Monday to Friday
