The Role
This is a proactive sales role where you’ll focus on identifying, engaging, and acquiring new customers, while also strengthening long-term partnerships with existing accounts.
As the face of Ricoman across Northern England, you will build relationships with fit-out companies, electrical contractors, M&E consultants and interior designers, combining business development with consultative support - winning new customers and projects, nurturing relationships, and providing tailored lighting specifications that inspire confidence and deliver value.
Key Responsibilities
Sales, Consultation & Specification
- Represent Ricoman at industry events, trade shows, and client visits across the North to build regional visibility and credibility
- Deliver product presentations, samples, and demonstrations to win specifications
- Generate leads, manage a healthy sales pipeline, and achieve agreed sales targets
- Represent Ricoman at industry events, trade shows, and client visits to build visibility and credibility
- Identify opportunities to introduce Ricoman solutions into new projects at early design stages
- Translate customer requirements into lighting specifications and tailored solutions
- Guide clients through options, compliance standards, and best practices
- Work closely with our Lighting Design and Technical teams to ensure feasibility and accuracy

Partnership Development
- Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships
- Develop new accounts and expand existing ones through trust and value creation
- Act as the key contact for projects from enquiry to post-delivery support
Collaboration & Feedback
- Provide market intelligence and feedback to Marketing, Production, and Technical teams
- Participate in cross-departmental reviews and ensure customer insights are captured in feedback
- Uphold agreed SLAs for responsiveness, quoting, and issue resolution

What We’re Looking For
- Proven track record in B2B sales (lighting, electrical, building services, or other technical sector - preferred but not essential)
- Based in Northern England with an established network across the region (advantageous)" and pair it with the driving licence requirement, since the role is clearly field-based
- Strong ability to engage with specifiers, contractors, and designers
- Excellent communication and presentation skills – able to simplify technical information for clients
- Collaborative mindset – thrives on cross-team problem-solving, not lone-wolf selling
- Highly organised with CRM discipline and attention to detail
- Self-motivated, resilient, and genuinely passionate about customer success

Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- 3+ years of experience in Sales
