This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to take their business development career to the next level within a market-leading organisation.

The Opportunity

As our Specification Business Development Manager – Healthcare, you will be responsible for driving specification opportunities and revenue growth across the UK healthcare sector. You'll work at the front end of the sales cycle, influencing design decisions, securing specifications, and converting projects into profitable business.

Success in this role will come from your ability to identify and maximise opportunities, build strong stakeholder relationships, and protect specifications through to order.

What You'll Be Doing

Drive Specification Growth

  • Proactively identify, target, and secure specifications for door hardware, electronic locking, access control systems, and complete door set solutions.
  • Build and develop a strong pipeline of healthcare projects across NHS Trusts and private healthcare providers.
  • Manage opportunities from early design stages through to order and delivery.
  • Maximise specification value by promoting integrated solutions and the wider ASSA ABLOY healthcare portfolio.

Build Strategic Relationships

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with:
    • Architects and healthcare design consultants
    • NHS Estates and Facilities teams
    • Main contractors and specialist healthcare contractors
    • Timber and Steel OEM partners

Position yourself as a trusted advisor, supporting customers with compliant, high-performance access solutions.

Promote Complete Access Solutions

  • Champion our full healthcare offering, including:
    • Electronic locking systems
    • Mechanical ironmongery and door hardware
    • Access control systems
    • Integrated security and access solutions
    • Complete door set packages

Identify opportunities to cross-sell and upsell technology-led solutions that enhance security, patient safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
