Are you an experienced sales professional with a passion for lighting specification sales? Do you thrive on building strong relationships with consultants, contractors, architects, and end users?

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Specification Manager to join a leading UK lighting manufacturer. This role offers the opportunity to manage and grow a well-established territory across Norfolk, Suffolk, Cambridgeshire, Peterborough, and Northamptonshire.

Responsibilities:

As a Specification Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • New Business Development: Proactively identify and engage with new clients and project opportunities within the assigned region.
  • Specification Sales: Secure product specifications and oversee projects from inception to successful order conversion.
  • Account Management: Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with consultants, contractors, architects, local authorities, and end users.
  • Lighting Design: Utilize Relux software to produce lighting designs that support customer projects and meet their specific requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Proven Sales Experience: A successful track record in lighting specification sales or a related field.
  • Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with working alongside consultants, contractors, architects, local authorities, and end users within the lighting sector.
  • Results-Oriented Mindset: A proactive, self-motivated individual who thrives in a field-based sales environment and is driven to achieve targets.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using lighting design software such as Relux is highly desirable.

Your daily activities will include:

  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to expand the client base.
  • Meeting with consultants, contractors, and architects to present innovative lighting solutions.
  • Developing tailored lighting designs to meet project specifications.
  • Managing ongoing projects and ensuring seamless communication with all stakeholders.
  • Monitoring market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities.
