Specification Manager – ARCHITECTURAL FAÇADE SYSTEMS
UK-wide | Hybrid Working
Salary: Up to £85,000
Bonus: 20% on-target bonus
Benefits: Company car, pension contribution, private medical insurance, paid business expenses and 25 days’ annual leave
Tristram Parker Recruitment is working with a leading international manufacturer of architectural building systems to appoint an experienced Project Consultant.
This is a senior, commercially focused position responsible for developing major façade and building-envelope projects across the UK. The successful candidate will engage with architects, façade consultants, developers, main contractors and specialist subcontractors from the early design and specification stages through to project delivery.
The Role
You will be responsible for identifying and developing significant project opportunities, building relationships with key industry decision-makers and supporting the specification of technically led façade solutions.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing relationships with architects, façade consultants, developers, contractors and specialist façade subcontractors
- Identifying, developing and managing a strong pipeline of major UK projects
- Supporting specification activity during the design, tender and pre-construction stages
- Delivering CPD seminars, technical presentations and product demonstrations
- Creating strategic account plans and project roadmaps for complex opportunities
- Acting as a central commercial contact throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinating with internal technical, project-support and regional teams
- Managing project activity and opportunities through a CRM system
- Attending relevant exhibitions, conferences and industry events
- Monitoring market developments, competitor activity and emerging construction trends
- Promoting innovative and sustainable façade and building-envelope solutions
- Developing relationships between project decision-makers, contractors and specialist fabrication partners

The Candidate
We are looking for a commercially strong and well-connected construction professional with experience in architectural façade systems, aluminium systems or a closely related technical building-product sector.
The successful candidate is likely to demonstrate:
- Experience in specification sales, project sales, business development or technical consultancy
- A good technical understanding of façade, aluminium or building-envelope systems
- Established relationships with architects, consultants, contractors or specialist façade businesses
- The ability to identify, influence and develop complex project opportunities
- Strong presentation skills, including experience delivering CPDs or technical presentations
- Excellent commercial awareness and stakeholder-management skills
- Experience managing a project pipeline through a CRM system
- The ability to work independently across a national territory
- Strong planning, organisation and internal coordination skills
- An interest in sustainable construction, innovation and lower-carbon building solutions
