Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 DOE + Bonus + Car Allowance
Location: National Field-Based Role (minimum of 1 day per week at the Head office in Norwich)
Hours: Full Time - Monday - Friday 7.30am - 4.30pm, with a degree of flexibility

Our client is an ambitious and rapidly growing UK manufacturer supplying high-quality solutions into the commercial built environment. Following a period of sustained growth and with exciting plans for the future, they are looking to appoint a commercially focused Specification Manager to help drive market expansion and secure specifications across a range of sectors.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced specification sales professional who enjoys building relationships, influencing project decisions and managing opportunities from concept through to conversion.
The Role
As Specification Manager, you will engage with architects, building surveyors, consultants, developers, facilities management professionals and other key project influencers to secure product specifications and generate future project opportunities.

Working closely with sales, estimating, technical and marketing teams, you will take ownership of projects throughout the construction lifecycle, helping to ensure specifications are protected and converted into profitable business.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with architects, consultants, surveyors and other specifiers
- Identify and secure product specifications on commercial projects
- Deliver CPDs, technical presentations and product demonstrations
- Generate and qualify opportunities using market intelligence, CRM systems and industry networks
- Manage projects from early design stages through tender and contractor appointment
- Protect specifications and minimise product substitution
- Collaborate with internal teams to support successful project conversion
- Maintain an accurate project pipeline and CRM records
- Share market and competitor insights to support future growth initiatives

- Experience within specification sales, business development or a similar construction products environment
- A strong understanding of the construction project lifecycle
- The ability to build credibility with architects, consultants, contractors and key decision-makers
- Strong commercial awareness and relationship-building skills
- Experience presenting technical information and influencing product selection
- The ability to manage a long-term project pipeline effectively
- Familiarity with CRM platforms and business development tools
- A proactive, resilient and self-motivated approach
- Willingness to travel nationally as part of a field-based role
