The Role of Specification Sales Manager
This is a rare opportunity for an ambitious Specification Sales Manager to take ownership of a high-potential Northern territory with a premium interiors / KBB manufacturer.
This role offers the opportunity to join a business where you are not simply managing an established patch, but helping shape and grow a region with significant potential.
You will have the autonomy to develop your territory, build long-term customer relationships and play a key role in driving the continued success of the business. With a high degree of ownership, you will manage your diary, create strategic account plans and influence specification opportunities across the region.
As Specification Sales Manager for the South, you will develop and secure specifications with regional house builders, influence projects from design stage through to installation, and build strong relationships with KBB contractors and merchants to (and back selling via the merchant channel).
This is a genuine field-based opportunity offering autonomy, ownership and the chance to make a visible impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and executing a strategic territory plan to maximise house builder specification opportunities
- Winning and influencing specifications with house builders
- Building relationships with key decision makers across developers, contractors, merchants and installers
- Managing projects through the specification journey, from initial design influence through to completion
- Creating strong partnerships with not only housebuilders, but also KBB contractors and merchants
- Identifying new business opportunities while growing existing customer relationships
- Developing a strong network of industry contacts across the Southern region
- Working collaboratively with internal teams to deliver outstanding customer service and project support
- Representing the brand professionally within the KBB and specification market

Following continued investment and growth, the business is rapidly winning market share in the UK sales and they are thus looking to appoint an experienced House Builder Specification Sales Manager to join their dynamic team.

The Candidate
We are looking for a high-performing Specification Sales professional who combines commercial drive with the ability to influence at multiple levels within the construction and KBB sectors.
Requirements
- A proven track record of successfully winning specifications within the KBB, kitchen, bathroom, flooring or interior building products sectors
- Experience developing relationships with regional house builders, developers
- Strong understanding of the specification journey and the ability to influence projects at an early stage
- Strong territory planning, account management and relationship-building skills
- Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
The Package
- Up to £65,000
- £15K (OTE)
- Electric company car or car allowance (generous)
